God speaks with love to each one of you. The voice of God is peace, for true peace is the total reliance upon the presence of love.
You pray for your dear friend who is nearing his time of transition. You pray for a smooth and joyous transition. We cannot, as you know, predict the timing of the transition, but we can tell you his soul is brilliant, is strong, and is total love. He is prepared, he is in harmony with all of the spiritual presence that surrounds him. You can be assured beyond any doubt of the synchronicity of his spiritual development and his chosen future. A soul chooses to become a participant of human life, and it is the soul that is ultimately choosing the path of fulfillment that is referred to as this blessing of transition.
His family is warmed by your prayers and sustained by them and by the prayers of so many others. They are as blessed by your presence as you are by theirs. It is through such experiences as you are engaged in in your concerns for your friend and his family that you learn what it means to be the keepers of your own brothers and sisters, your own fellow human beings. You grow through this experience equally as others grow through your prayers.
Transitions are not to be feared. We have spoken of the uncertainty which all experience, but all human beings are guided through the field of love that is God’s reality. This reality, this field of love, nurtures and supports, gives meaning to life. All participate in traversing this field. It is filled with warmth, it is filled with comfort and great joy. All who walk through this field are nourished and sustained. All are rewarded by the gift of love, for all experience that love on the journey.
We know your prayers for your beloved friend and his family and friends, and we want you to fully accept the truth of your blessings upon them, your ability collectively and individually, to provide comfort and love. It is at times such as these when you contemplate transitions that you quite naturally turn your concerns more acutely to the matter of the soul, the matter of spirit.
The question was asked, “Why is there a separateness of souls? What is the purpose of being different souls?” The answer lies in the recognition that the whole of Spirit, the collective Spirit of all souls, is strengthened, is made richer, more loving through the contributions that are offered as a result of separate experiences. Spirit, with a capital S, the totality of all souls, is not unchangeable. It is not in some way so stable that all remains the same, for the totality that is Spirit is love, and we have told you that love only increases. But such increase in love happens because of the development of the individual souls, even though they belong to the corporate Spirit.
When one soul grows in love, Spirit grows. When one soul is empowered with greater compassion, Spirit is so empowered. When one soul develops a great capacity to give unselfishly, to love nonjudgmentally, Spirit grows. Even though you may be a drop of water in the ocean, you are a part of the entire ocean, and therefore you have influence on the entire ocean. God is love; Spirit grows and therefore God grows. The power of love is unquenchable. It is God’s destiny, so to speak, God’s mission, God’s will, God’s desire that love must grow. That power of love extends beyond the earthly planet that you call home. That love encompasses all that is. As love progresses, there is greater understanding for the unity of creation. It is not God’s nature to remain static. It is the nature of God to continue to expand, to continue to develop love throughout creation. Human life is but one corner of that creation, but all of creation is interrelated.
You might find it difficult to understand love between something inanimate and a human being, but love is a positive energy. Love shares a common energy with all. We have explained that God is energy. We have explained that rocks contain energy. You understand that you contain energy, down to the smallest particles imaginable. At that level there is no great distinction between stone and humankind. There is no great distinction between the heavenly bodies and humankind, for human beings evolved from what is contained in the stars of the heavens. All are truly the same at the most basic, fundamental, meaningful level.
Your souls therefore have different identities, different experiences, different gifts in order that Spirit that affects all of creation may be enhanced. You love one another when you understand your common background, the traits that you share together.
God’s system of love has many layers. Your souls are one layer, but as you queried together, another layer is memory. All memory is shared. In a fundamental way, you do share common memories with others. How is this manifested? All human beings share the desire to be loved, but the desire to be loved comes from the memory of what it means to be loved. The capacity to be loving comes from a collective, assembled memory of the benefits that are exchanged by being loving. All human beings experience fear when they feel threatened. No one taught them to feel afraid, but it is the result of what has been remembered.
All human beings are connected. You know that when you pray for another you are connected to them, but it is naïve to think you are only connected through prayer. It is naïve to think you are only connected because you share the reality of souls. You are connected at all levels. You are not countless islands of God’s creation. All that you do, all that others do, all that has been done is connected. It is for this reason that you may understand that there is a kind of common memory, and all individuals belong to that shared blessing. You all draw from it as it becomes needed.
There is nothing that fundamentally separates you from any other human beings. If you are not separate in any fundamental way, the question of memory can only be understood in common terms. Certainly there are daily events that you recall that are different from the daily events of others, but these are brief moments. What is essential to your lives, your identity with others, your identity with your surroundings—animate and inanimate—is a common memory, for you all originated from the same Source. You have all always been. You have all always been together. You will all always be together. There is no separation. You may have individual characteristics—those issues that bring you pleasure, those issues that bring you sadness—but such characteristics are in the end of little significance. What prompts you to be loving, what encourages you to be vulnerable, allowing yourselves to be loved, is shared by every human being. You cannot identify yourselves as being separate from any object, animate or inanimate.
So often we have spoken of this total unity of creation and we will speak of it many times again. What is important is you accept that you are bound to each other at every level. You may appear on the surface to be different, but that is all temporal. What is permanent is that about which we speak. It is that which is most important. You cannot ignore the temporal, for that is an important component of human life. But you must focus on what is permanent, for in doing that you focus on one another, you acknowledge one another, you reinforce one another, you give strength to one another, you care for one another. You are all united, and because of that it is so much easier to reach out and embrace.
We embrace you not only because we love you…we embrace you because you are what we are. You are the kernel of love that expands; we are the kernel of love that expands. You grow in your spiritual awareness; we grow in our spiritual awareness. You reach out to comfort others; we reach out to comfort you. There is no difference. Our forms of energy may not be identical for they are only manifestations, they are only shapes of what is essentially the same.
This sense of total unity at all levels is extremely difficult to understand, but it is essential for your lives to be governed through the exercise of love. You are loved and we are loved. You are Love and we are Love. This union between your manifestation or form of energy and ours is permanent. We will never be separated from you; you will never be separated from one another. Love endures forever; our love for you endures forever.
When your friend’s form of love is fully transformed into our manifestation of love, he will immediately recognize his guides and yours. He will see God clearly and he will begin another phase of his spiritual journey that strengthens, and in that strengthening makes ever broader the love of God in the entirety of creation. What a blessing to know what is truly permanent! What a blessing to know the value of each individual soul and its impact on Spirit!
You are a part of that grand plan of God. You are vital. There is nothing you can do to separate yourself from that growth, for you are already a part of God and you will resonate in the love that God offers. Be comforted in that love. Be warmed in that permanent Light.
