God is with you individually and as a group united in prayer. We wish to assure you that the father of one of you is with us. He’s resting. His transition was smooth, but he suffered a lot and needs time to adjust to his new-found freedom. He knows of your concerns and of your prayers, and he is aware of the help that you have provided him since his passing.

Those prayers that you offer are a help to all souls as they join us. They illuminate the vision of souls that have entered a new life, for as we have said on numerous occasions, prayer appears to us as light. It is a spiritual, not a physical, light and yet it has characteristics similar to physical light, for there are colors more radiant than any you have experienced. The brilliance carries a warmth and transmits a love which you can only think about but never experience in your own life-form. Therefore, when you pray for another, you provide light for another, and that light emits warmth and love, that light illuminates the surroundings of the soul.

There is much for each of you to learn about your own lives, but there is so much more to be learned about what lies ahead of you. We feel it is most important that we serve to illuminate the lives that you currently have rather than to tell you of our experiences on our side of the threshold, for those you will learn of in God’s time, and they will have meaning only from the perspective of your experience of human existence.

When you experience a loss through death, it is natural to feel that loss as a personal loss. Grieving, as you know, serves only to make the transition of the soul more labored. You must elevate your souls through prayerful thanks and thereby provide a spiritual buoyancy which carries the soul of the one for whom you pray forward. In essence then, you have the opportunity of serving as a meaningful support for the soul of another, for all souls are connected. No soul exists alone. When your souls are elevated, all souls benefit. When your souls are held down through your own emotions, all souls bear the burden.

The interconnectedness of souls implies further the interconnectedness of all humankind. It is very difficult for you to witness the benefit of prayer upon another, and yet through faith you understand the benefit to be real. It is the same when you pray for those who have crossed the threshold into the next phase of their life. It is by faith alone that you believe the help which is transmitted through prayer, and we are here to assure you of those benefits.

It is easy to doubt both the existence of God and our presence in the lives of all humans. It is natural to go through periods of doubt alternating with periods of faith. Those periods of questioning are not to be rejected because it is by dealing with those questions that your faith is ultimately strengthened. Accept those moments, no matter how long, when you wonder about the presence of God, the presence of guides, a life beyond the threshold of human existence, but also welcome those moments, be they brief or long term, when you have a vision of what lies ahead, when you have an understanding of where you fit into the flow of spiritual growth, when you have a vision of a connectedness of all souls.

Your prayers benefit all of us. Your prayers also benefit each other, for they are offered together and thereby strengthen the bonds which unite each of you to one another.

It has been a long time since you were together, and we eagerly look forward to many more opportunities of joining spiritually in an extended consciousness to help guide your lives and to provide meaning and understanding and strength to your existence.

God’s light illuminates each of your souls and God’s strength is forever present. Our prayers to God are for your growing acceptance of the true reality of God’s existence and of a promise of a life beyond the threshold. Rejoice in your moments of recognition! May they provide strength and courage to each of you. We bless you all with God’s light and love and presence.

Amen.
