{Personal, for James}
God surrounds you and your entire family, and blesses this communion which you are to receive.
It is important for each of you who is the receiver of God’s guidance, either directly or through others, to take time to consciously study previous messages in search of the truths which are contained therein, for the wisdom expressed through statements and analogy are not understood lightly, but need study to be absorbed and to serve as a vehicle for true spiritual growth.
God is aware of your concerns relating to the question of your church’s ordering of priorities. It is a problem experienced by all who feel an urge or calling in a particular direction. When one feels a strong impulse to move in a given direction, it is first necessary to overcome the inertia which is part of the condition prior to the impulse. This can be likened to an automobile containing occupants when the driver wishes to make a turn. The driver exerts pressure in steering the vehicle, and the other occupants experience a move which is seemingly divergent from the direction the automobile is being changed toward. When a car starts from rest and moves forward, the occupant’s initial reaction is to be pulled back. This is a very simple example, but it carries with it the thread of truth which applies to all those who seek a direction or respond to a vision which is different from the norm. The occupants of the car have two alternatives: they can choose not to turn in the direction that the driver chooses, or they can choose to remain within the vehicle. In both instances, their reaction or response to the law of inertia is identical.
Martin Luther King, Jr. cried out, “I have a dream!” and although it is now obvious to many that his dream was divinely inspired, his efforts, his vision necessitated the overcoming of the inertia of society. There were many who rebelled initially, but after thought, realized the rightness of his dream. You are concerned that the lack of an enthusiastic response is in fact a rejection of those ideals you hold so firmly. For many, the seemingly negative response is merely a jolting from a state of inertia. Inside the car which is starting rapidly from a point of rest, it appears that the passengers are pulling back. Viewed from the street corner, both the passengers and the vehicle are moving forward.
Our view of this experience which you are currently living in and growing with is from the perspective of the individual at the street corner. We are aware, in a sense, of the inertia of the experience, but we are more aware of its forward movement. God permits us to reassure you of the rightness of your vision and its ultimate conclusion in success, as you would view it. You will not be fully aware of the related effects of your efforts, for they radiate far beyond your ability to perceive. You may not sense the feeling of success, as the passengers do not fully comprehend their motion, but you can be assured of the rightness of your efforts.
The question of education as it relates to God’s purpose in life is absolutely essential. It is our calling, reaching outward to educate your souls, as we have instructed in the past. It is your calling to reach outward to reflect God’s love, and in so doing, educate others. Within the confines of a church environment, the scope of education and an understanding of its purposes can be very narrow. It requires those who have a vision of a broader purpose to insure that such education transcends local doctrine and is elevated to a level of supreme consciousness. You will find that such perspective, when shared with others, cannot be criticized but serves to broaden, strengthen and inspire.
We, your guides, are always with you, and as we have stated many times in the past, God’s support is always present, when asked through prayer, in meeting the many challenges which you face. We suggest that you will find additional strength to comprehend the meaning behind your activities through study of the messages you have received, and those of others, of which you have copies, for the purpose of those messages is to instill a basic framework of an approach which can be applied to all of your activities.
It is like a system of fire prevention, as opposed to merely the extinguishing of fires on a singular basis as they occur. It is frequently more difficult to achieve a reliable prevention than it is to extinguish a fire, but it is infinitely wiser and has much wider applications. You may see these communions, then, as a school of fire prevention, in that as you become more aware of the possibilities of coping with the environment (in other words, your own lives), you are thereby more effectively protected from damaging influences. It is for this reason that we suggest careful reading of past messages, for despite the specific differences in subject matter, the basic truths toward which you should all strive are constantly present.
We bless you with God’s love and concern and compassion and perspective.
Amen.
